2021 Roadtrip to Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse in Ponce Inlet Florida on March 12th

My visit

Sadie and I continued our EPIC 2021 Roadtrip by heading across Florida on our way to Palm Bay. We took a route that was a bit longer, but which took us by the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse. I didn't research the location very well. This lighthouse is basically in Daytona. There was some kind of a motorcycle rally going on in Daytona. I don't mean to sound like a grumpy old chick, but the motorcycles were annoying LOL! The noise and the stupid driving were just about more than I could take! Really some bad timing on my part! The lighthouse was nice, but Sadie chose to sit in the car with the air running! I could have climbed to the top of this lighthouse, but my extreme fear of heights didn't allow me to! Sometimes it sucks being a photographer and having a fear of heights!

Step back in time and climb 175 feet of fun in the Florida sun at the Ponce Inlet Light Station and Museum! Constructed in 1887, the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse has guided mariners along the Florida coast for more than 130 years. Declared a National Historic Landmark in 1998, this world-famous lighthouse museum is conveniently located ten miles south of Daytona on the World’s Most Famous Beach and offers a treasure trove of experiences for young and old alike.
