2021 Roadtrip to Waterfront Park in Louisville Kentucky on June 17th

My visit

As I was heading to the Kentucky AirBNB, I was intrigued by all of the bridges that cross from IN to KY. I had only planned on exploring Charlestown State Park and the Falls of Ohio State Park in Indiana during my stay. After doing some last minute research on the area, I quickly discovered that I needed to explore the Waterfront Park and the Big Four Bridge! I'm glad I did because the walk across the Big Four Bridge at dawn was the highlight of my trip!

General Info

(from https://ourwaterfront.org/)

Once a wasteland of scrap yards and abandoned industrial buildings, Waterfront Park is now a vibrant 85-acre green space that welcomes over 2.2 million visitors each year. We are home to some of Louisville’s most exciting celebrations, such as the Fourth of July at Waterfront Park, Forecastle Festival, and WFPK Waterfront Wednesdays. If big crowds aren’t your thing, there is plenty of space to take a walk, ride your bike, do some yoga, or enjoy a breathtaking view of the city from the Big Four Bridge.
