Lighthouses

I searched for lighthouses everywhere we went. I loved the unique structures, all alone on the water. The way the beams lit up with a simple, rhythmic flash or an arc of light that swept across the water like a pair of arms. ~Cynthia Ellingsen, The Lighthouse Keeper.
