Centennial Park in Nashville Tennessee
Centennial Park is in the heart of Nashville. The 132-acre features: the iconic Parthenon, a one-mile walking trail, Lake Watauga, the Centennial Art Center, historical monuments, an arts activity center, a beautiful sunken garden, a band shell, an events shelter, sand volleyball courts, dog park, and an exercise trail. Thousands of people visit the park each year to visit the museum, see exhibits, attend festivals, and just enjoy the beauty of the park. The Parthenon stands proudly as the centerpiece of Centennial Park. The re-creation of the 42-foot statue Athena is the focus of the Parthenon just as it was in ancient Greece. The building and the Athena statue are both full-scale replicas of the Athenian originals. We have visited the park once in October of 2018. It is located at 2500 West End Avenue Nashville, TN 37203. #wanderingnursewhitlock
